Indian Institute for Health Training (established in 1979) as the Training Division of Indian Rural Medical Association (IRMA), a Govt. registered body of Primary Health care Providers. It has more than 570 centers all over India and these are engaged in training of Community Medical Service and Essential Drug Courses as designed and specified by World Health Organization. We have also centers spread in South East Asia (Nepal, Bangladesh, etc).
In order to achieve its main objective, IIHT is to promote and faster. Community health and development training programs for rural doctors and health care professional, IIHT also give assistance to selected training provider in developing high quality, cost effective programmers of rural doctors, Paramedics, Auxiliary community workers, the ultimate aim is to improve and expand the community health services at primary health care level and if required secondary and tertiary level also. The institute also undertakes knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) study among the beneficiaries periodically to know public health problems and to recognize their own needs, motivation and anxieties as post training study a pre-evaluation test is also done to ascertain base level status in different courses.
IIHT is also concerned with the population explosion; so it has already developed, established and has been providing population evaluation and family welfare trainings.
